PLEASE SEE OUR CURRENT EVENTS PAGE FOR 2008 UPGRADE CLASSESBuilding Skills for a Secure FutureNorth Lebanon Township was the site chosen for our new 7,200 sq. ft. training
center, which was completed and dedicated in October of 1988. The facility,
equipped with the highest quality materials and machinery, is designed
to prepare the next generation of carpenters for a solid and challenging
future in the field of carpentry. Apprentice Trained CraftsmenQuality
Credentials Earn While You Learn On-the-job training
turns enthusiastic apprentices into experienced journeymen. The training
is provided by the Association's contractors on construction projects
in the Central Pennsylvania region. Wages are paid from the first hour
of employment at the negotiated pay scale. The Training Schedule All apprentices are required to attend four 40-hour training sessions each year of the four-year program. Sessions are scheduled once every three months. Initial training begins in the classroom with safety, mathematics and other fundamentals, followed by comprehensive hands-on training in the shop areas. Attendance at the center requires the apprentice to be absent from the job, and there is no reimbursement for related training or travel. Apprenticeship Training Apprentices may choose
