courses are recommended for all members of the UBC.

10/PSM/Smart Mark --
Saturday, February 24, 2007 and Saturday, April 28, 2007- PLEASE
NOTE CHANGE OF DATE)(7 a.m. to
completion). This course is designed by the U.S. Department of Labor with the
purpose of making our job sites safer and to limit job site accidents
and injuries. The 10-hour construction safety course provides
an overview of the O.S.H.A safety and health standards for the construction
industry. An O.S.H.A. certification card and a U.B.C. Smart Mark
card will be awarded upon completion of this course. (Prerequisite:
None) Enrollment Fee: no fee

30 -- Saturdays, March 10,17,24, 2007 (10 hours each day
starting at 7 a.m.) MILLWRIGHTS
WITH A MW QUALIFICATION CARD WILL ALSO RECEIVE A MW16 HOUR SAFETY
CARD. The purpose of this course
is to provide training for supervisory personnel or anyone interested
in becoming a foreman or supervisor. Participants who complete
the OSHA 30 course in its entirety will receive an OSHA 30 card
and a U.B.C. Smart Mark card. (Prerequisite:
None) Enrollment Fee: No

NOTE
TO ALL APPRENTICES: All apprentices
are encouraged to complete all Certification/Qualification courses;
however, Apprentices must always work under the direction of a qualified
journeyman.
**NOTE:
All courses are subject to minimum enrollment as defined by the
committee.
Due to class size limitation, early enrollment is encouraged.
